"The More You Know"

  1. Coaches Focus – Technique, improve times, fun experience, life lessons
    1. Danielle Chaney – 12th year coaching in some capacity. Coaches at Lifetime. Swam on team for eight years.
    2. Additional Coaching Staff - Selected based on experience, personal stroke technique, passion for swimming and enthusiasm for the younger kids' success.
  2. Swimmer Availability – Let Danielle know by the Monday before the meet at noon if your swimmer will or will not be available for the meet.
  3. Do Not Leave Meet – Never leave a meet without checking out with a coach. Sometimes we need kids to swim up in relays, so always check before you leave!
  4. Swimmers Area – Sit in your age group bullpen, not on deck or with other age groups. DO NOT play on Tennis Courts, around lake or on swing set. Parent volunteers need to find you easily so you do not miss your event. Parents can come to your bullpen and sit with you.
  5. Meet Mobile - Download from mobile phone app store to get real time results during meet.
  6. Parent Jobs –These are necessary to run a smooth meet for the kids. Please take a break when your child is swimming.
  7. No Flash Photography at Start
  8. Weather – Don’t leave the meet unless you hear from parents on the board or the coaches. We will notify you using Text101 when we need to go to cars during storm and when the meet will resume after the storm passes.
  9. County Meet – Top 50 go, Top 75 high chance of qualifying. Top 100 still can qualify after scratches.
  10. DQ’s – Use as a development tool. It is better to get DQ'd at a regular meet than the County Meet!
  11. Ribbons – Swimmers are racing themselves to improve their own time! Speed Breaker Ribbon is awarded when they beat their own season best time.
  12. Concession Stand – Support the team. Food and Heat Sheets help raise money to keep swimmer fees low.
  13. Sponsorships – PLEASE support our team sponsors. Their contribution helps us afford Lane Ropes, Backstroke poles, Quality Coaches, low swimmer fees, etc.
  14. High School Swim Team - When most of our swimmers get to high school, they swim on the High School swim team. High School swimmers can earn a Letter, become a Scholar Athlete, qualify for the Gwinnett County Championship meet, qualify for the State High School Championship meet, and if they decide to continue swimming in college, earn scholarship money and open up more opportunities of schools to attend.
