Thursday practice and meet info
May 30th
Hello, Stingray families. Please read these important notes for tomorrow.
- Coach Danielle has changed practice tomorrow to be on the MTW time schedule but all practices will be at Steeple Chase.
- We will need a lot of extra volunteers tomorrow because we have several families out of town or sick. If you were not on the job schedule sent out Sunday night and can work a job tomorrow night, please check in with me at the pool when you get there.
- Please don't forget donations for Village of Hope. We are collecting juice boxes and individually wrapped snacks (goldfish, crackers, chips, etc.).
- If you haven't already signed up for Remind101, please text @2ge843 to 81010.
- Parking in the pool lot is very limited. We have to reserve over 15 spots for deliveries, equipment and visitors (league rules). For safety reasons, there will be no parking on the driveway leading to the pool.
- “Swimmers ear” is an infection of the outer ear canal caused by bacteria growing in the moist, dark, warm ear. Pool water can become diluted by rain or added hose water; then chemicals that kill bacteria may inadvertently be a lower % than usual. Drops for swimmers ear kill bacteria, then the water in the ear can dry safely. To be safe, use them after ANY swimming. This will prevent an ear infection that requires a visit to your doctor, and 5 days out of the water. The drops for "swimmers ear" can be found in the pharmacy section of most grocery stores / Walmart in the ear section. Or you can make a home-made remedy of half rubbing alcohol and half white vinegar. For ears too sensitive for drops, you can dry them out with a hair dryer on low.
Please let me know if you have any questions. See you at the pool tomorrow!
