Hello team, 
Tomorrow, the GCSL board will send out a message to all of you with the official word, but Coach and I wanted you to hear it from us first. 
For the safety of all our swimmers and families, the 2020 swim season has officially been cancelled. The decision was not reached lightly, with many weeks of the board exploring all possible options. 
I know that there will be a lot of disappointed kiddos. I am absolutely heartbroken as well. We miss our swim family and live for summer league each year. However, we stand with the GCSL in their decision to keep our community safe and we our already making plans for the 2021 year. 
We know that there will be a lot of questions, but right now we don't have a lot of answers. For those that have paid, refunds will come in the next couple of weeks. We are throwing around other ideas/options for summer, but to be honest, without knowing future guidelines we are unable to plan those at this time.  
In the next couple of days, Coach Danielle will be sending out a zoom schedule for each age group so that she can help answer any questions they have and cheer up their spirits. Please have your kids attend those meetings if possible. 
Watch for further communication from the league coming soon. Also, please keep an eye out for communication from us on any alternative activities to keep our team engaged.  
Stingrays, remember that we are known for being the most positive team in the league! While we can take a moment to mourn, this is a great way to show how we are Stingray Strong in and OUT of the pool!
