Hello and welcome (or welcome back!) to the Steeplestation Stingrays!

My name is Melanie and I am your head council/president! I have 4 kiddos, Tatiana swam from 5-18 years old and is now 20 and off on her own. Solange is one of your jr. coaches, and then there is Evan (age 14), and Juju (11). We have been Stingrays since 2006 and have loved every moment!
I am part of a wonderful board that includes Nancy (Jen) Hamrick as my second council/VP, and Meg Lovejoy as the Team Manager.
Coaches and Practice Schedule:
Our Head coach, Coach Danielle, has been in this role for many, many years and we are so exciting she is back again this summer! You will see her at the pool deck for all of the practices that are during the school year. Once the summer practices starts, she splits her time with Assistant Coaches Seth and Ava. Please take a look at the practice schedule for summer as we utilize 2 pools, Steeplechase AND Jefferson Station! We also have 2 wonderful Jr. Coaches that will be helping with the littler ones, Coach Soli and Coach Ashley!
Please keep in mind that all the coaches are super busy during practice, so if you have any questions that can be asked via email or text, that would be preferable!
Meets:
Our meet schedule is already up on the website. You can find them here: https://steeplestationstingrays.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
Every family is expected to volunteer during the meets. We need ALL hands on deck to run the meets as efficiently as possible! Look for more on volunteering in an additional email to come soon!!
Our first meet is a practice meet at the Steeplechase pool on May 26th. We will also have team pictures that day as well, so arrival time is tentatively set for 4pm. If you do not have your swim suit by then, please wear an all black suit.
TRAINING:
We have a HIGH need for stroke judges!! We also need some people who are trained in computers for back up. Here are the dates for those classes. If you are interested, please let me know that you are going to attend !
Computer Training: May 16. All classes will be held virtually from 7-9pm. Please register using this link: (URL: https://forms.gle/
Stroke & Turn/Starter Training:
To be a Starter, you must also complete BOTH Starter and Stroke & Turn training!
Online training for Stroke and Turn judges will be on 5/17 from 7-9:30pm
Online training for Starters will be Wednesdays: 5/18 from 7-8pm

If you did not pay online but indicated check, I will need your payment by the end of next week please. I am still working on processing the ones I have gotten. Remind 101:
Sometimes we need to communicate FAST when things are happening. Like cancelling of practice due to weather and/or chemicals in pool. Or meets that have been postponed for similar reasons.
