Richland Meet Tomorrow!
Hey Stingrays!
Our fourth meet of the season is upon us! We are going against the Richland Waves tomorrow night, and as it is our last home meet of the season, there's a lot going on. Here's what you need to know:
WHEN TO ARRIVE
Our warm-ups are from 5:00 - 5:25 PM tomorrow night. Please arrive by 4:45 PM.
RAIN POLICY REMINDER
Remember, we swim in the rain. However, the rules are that we must stay out of the water for 30 minutes after every strike of lightning or every sound of thunder. We will try everything we can to get the meet in. Make sure you're in our Remind 101 system, as that is how we will keep in touch with you about what's going on if it storms and we need to go to our cars etc. Hoping to not have to deal with this, but just in case!
TNO - "TEEN NIGHT OUT"
We will be going to Steak and Shake on Lawrenceville Suwanee near 120 for our TNO after the meet.
FUN FRIDAY THEME - GAME DAY
Wear gear / clothes supporting your favorite sports team!
SENIOR RECOGNITION
We will be recognizing our seniors right after the visiting team's warmups end at 5:50 PM and finish before meet start.
NATIONAL ANTHEM
Our very own Adagia Leo will be singing the national anthem for us tomorrow! Can't wait to hear her sing!
PARENT RELAYS
We have FOUR parent relays and an alumni relay this year! They are listed below. A couple of things about the relays: I have compromised with the time concerns of the other team and said that if weather is threatening, we may push the relays back to after IM (just an event later) in order to get the requisite amount of events we need in a meet in before we do relays. If weather is very bad, we may postpone and adjust parent relays. Pray that the weather holds out and we'll be good to go! That said, the other team has decided to not add another heat by participating, so we will have one heat of our parent relays / alumni relay. As always, please be flexible and patient!
Timeline for Parent Relay Participants: Event 25 - Start getting ready / change into your suit if needed, Event 35/36 - be on deck ready to swim behind your assigned lane
Important Info for Parent Relay Participants: I will have relay cards for you. We will be doing 25's, as there is a time concern from the other team. Your lane assignments and relay teams are indicated below. The medley relay order is back, breast, fly, free. If you are doing back or fly, you will be starting from the starting end of the pool by the shed. If you are doing breast or free, you will start from the opposite end of the pool by the pavilion. We have 5 people for the alumni relay and will take that as a handicap. (:
